Thursday, 19 May 2011

There has been very little movement from this bird in the past week. Movements have been within close proximity to a central point (maybe a nest!).  It is still in the same location in the Omsk region of Russia, very close to the Kazakhstan border.

The restricted area covered by the pallid harrier recently suggests that the it may have found a suitable nesting area, with many movements in one small area. At the moment the bird is in  the Omsk region of Russia, very close to the border with Kazakhstan.

The pallid harrier has been on the move again, making the approximately 850km journey from central Kazakhstan to the border of southern Russia.
